Luke 9:28-62

Nothing really new in this reading. I don't think I've pointed out how much I like "for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them from the penalty of eternal death". Jesus says this when the disciples ask if they should throw a man into the fire because he was driving out demons in Jesus' name.
That's so old testament...

Keep in mind that punishment doesn't go away, it's just not Jesus mission at this time.
